Oh, and Andre looks like P. Diddy's manservant in that first pic. (Actually, I think I like his hair cut.) Ahhh...guess he's picked up the ax in preparation for his Hendrix role. Naw Sis, I meant that in a good way. But now that you mention it, he does kinda have that Farnsworth Bentley thing happening. Andre just doesn't "physically fit" Hendrix. And the playing... ...that's a whole 'nother story which Dre can't do anything about. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...rmusic.htm "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. NP. I agree they should probably go with an unknown "ACTOR". If not an unknown, one actor I saw recently that could probably pull it off is LEON (Leon Robinson). He played Little Richard, Jackie Wilson and David Ruffin in various TV movies. (not to mention the messiah figure in Madonna's Like A Prayer video) He's done movies also. (Waiting to Exhale, Once Upon a Time...When We Were Colored, Cliffhanger, Cool Runnings, etc.) From what I understand he's also got/had a reggae band called The Young Lions. Someone to consider. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...rmusic.htm "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. C'mon y'all."

Good performance. Should've let Stevie Wonder and Lenny Kravitz do "Superstition" though. I liked it. And if her putting on those stupid shades was her 'tribute' to Stevie Wonder...that just showed her ignorance.

I totally agree! Shes very overrated! What in the hell was up with her hair? Was she trying to hide bad skin? Lenny looked like he just left Mad Max and Thunderdome.

Based on the new haircut... ...and the fact that he plays right-handed (a BIG Hendrix issue) an Ike Turner role might be more appropriate. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...rmusic.htm Dead on. SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."

Eventhough she had Steve and Lenny trying to help her out, it did not help much. I am glad to see that she is able to pick up an instrument. However, she needs vocal work tremendously. I don't think she was that off at all, it actually sounded pretty close to the album version of the song to me. Alicia is one of those people who's been overrated by half of the music industry, and has been needlessly reamed by the other half in backlash. I think she's alright, not this "old souled" saviour, but not your typical production booth synthetic pop star
As to the Andre thing, I admire him for trying to play more instruments and branch out. So his chops aren't honed yet, so what? I think Andre and Big Boi could be hip hop's Lennon and McCartney is they keep it up.

I was on another message board and some kid commented on Alicia Keys, Stevie and Lenny's performance...he said what was so great about them doing a Red Hot Chili Pepper's classic "Higher Ground"...uhhhhh kid, sorry to burst your bubble but Red Hot Chili Pepper's did not record Higher Ground first. All in all I loved the performance, Alcia's voice was a little scratchy at times but overall it was a good performance....someone stated that Lauryn Hill was supposed to come out with them but backed out at the last minute. Ohhh you keep saying stay the niiiiiiiiight
