No Limit Soldiers

Who remembers back in the day (late 95 to 2000) when No Limit Records and Master P were the shit. They were regional from 92 till 95 and 96 they blew up. Who was your favorite No Limit Soldier. I liked FIEND the best followed by MAC.

Also, how many No Limit Soldier members were their. It is probally more then Wu Tang Clan.

There's a hip hop station in NY (can't think of the call letters) that'll go: "Back in the day...199_.
And I'm like, "why is 199_ considered back in the day?" But then I realize that their core demographic is probably teenagers who were children then, so this probably in "back in the day" to them. smile

Master P/No Limit never was "the shit". He and everything his crummy label ever released was just plain "shit", with no definitive article. Everything, that is, except for Snoop's "No Limit/Topp Dogg". Now THAT was THE SHIT!

I'd agree with just about all of that.. except for 'Topp Dogg' being "the shit". I'm quite sure that one was just shit.

Not that I'm a hip hop/rap snob, but someone here actually liked the shitloads that came from No Limit's ass label? eek I can respect Percy Miller for his " street hustla " business acumen, he's done more than I'll ever do, BUT THE MUSIC & PRODUCTS HE'S PRODUCED ARE HORRIBLE!!! Even if you bought one album from an act on his label, why did you go back and buy another one??

Of course "Topp Dogg" was no "Doggystyle", BUT compared to the rubbish Snoop put out between those two albums and all the rubbish he's put out since, "Topp Dogg" is a relative masterpiece.
