Happy Birthday Michael Jackson

Today the King of Pop celebrates his 46th birthday. May his trial go smoothly, his box set sell well, and his health and children remain stable througout this year. God Bless Michael!

Okay finally a live MJ dvd, good work

Final thoughts. OKay the bad is that he has released a lot of the classic material for the fourth time when it has had plenty of exposure. It's not that they're bad songs, it's just that the fans have all those friggin songs.
The good is that he is exposing overlooked cuts like "Who is it" and "Jam"
The Great is: The DVD (ive never seen the show) and the bonuses of unreleased songs.

He could've made the set better by of course adding more rare cuts and less "Billie Jeans." Maybe more demos. Apparently there was 30 songs they had to choose from to make "Bad" and only chose 11. So with that in mind and probably for the other albums, he had no excuse for not releasing more

Final Score: 6/10

Yes but then the headlines would be 'Michael Jackson attends Rick James Funeral' hardly appropriate eh - and probably why he wont attend - it takes the attention away from what the funeral is really about!! celebrating Rick James's life and not the fact that MJ is in attendance!!

I'm not a particular fan of Michael Jackson and I don't know if he's guilty or not, but the t-shirt showen above is sooooo low. When i see something like that, i really begin to believe it's all just a big public thing to bring him down.... just push a little more and he probably will...

This is out also, if you haven't heard it, u'll love it wink

On The Line [from the 'Get On The Bus' soundtrack]: I CANT WAIT

This has been released also. It's pretty good for a typical babyface ballad with typical MJ structure (big choires, ...)

Blood On The Dance Floor: See, MJ sould've continued down this road of dance
music

Yes he should have.

Fall Again [previsouly unreleased]: OH MY OH ME OH MY

It's available by someone else already (should look it up), i hope he can turn it into something interesting.

Apparently there was 30 songs they had to choose from to make "Bad" and only chose 11.

From Bad many outtakes are available, on the Remastered version entre autre. It's the dangerous and HIStory sessions that are interesting, with over 70 songs recorded each time. Some dozen are available from the dangerous sessions, most of which are not top-notch, but still very interesting (unlike the 50 songs that didn't make it on Invincible, i'm afraid, although i'm still curious about all the rumoured duets he's supposed to have done for that album)

Final Score: 6/10

eek mad

Oh, and Happy Birthday Michael! smile

Okay in order to make the boxed set better, i have made a request of what i want, in order to give it a perfect score.

First let's make the replacements.

Don't stop till you get enough: Replace with Working Day and Night
Rock with you: Replace with Get on the Floor
Billie Jean: Replace with Human Nature
Beat It: Replace with Carousel (full version)

We'll leave thriller

Bad: Liberian Girl
TWYMMF: becomes Just Good Friends (it was a stevie duet, and we can see the range of duets throughout his career despite it's a mediocre tune)

Ok my main cioncerns are taken care of giving it an 8 from here, now let's spruce it up

Missing tracks: Ok we need, "will you be there" "give in to me" "heal the world" "Scream" "They don't really care about us" "earth song" "Superfly Sister" " Whatever Happens" and "cry" og and "Xscape"

Alright now to the DVD: We need Moonwalker and Ghosts as a bonus dvd to this collection.

Ok so if we could incorporate those missing tracks on an extra cd and have an extra dvd with those films on it, we've covered MJ's career, and maybe we could add back in those classics i replaced if we had an extra cd
