70's singer songwriter extraordinaire!!!

I heard some of her greatest hits on a flight when I left my CD player. I was them singing the songs for 2 weeks of my vacation. This Sunday, I finally got out to buy her new Greatest Hits release. LOVING IT. Soooo takes me back to childhood. I remember "You're So Vain," "Anticipation" and "Nobody Does it Better" being huge radio hits. I remember "Anticipation" being the slogan for Heinz ketchup!!!! (That part is sad, I know.) Anyway... she can weave such a beautiful story with her lyrics.

Yup, she's one of my favourite songwriters.

I bought a double CD set of hers recently and listened to it for about every night for a month, sometimes well into the morning, while writing papers and studying. She a very talented songwriter and the CD set (I think titled "Ultimate Collection") shows that her music is diverse along with her voice.

My favorite Carly Simon songs are "You Belong To Me" and "Nobody Does It Better".

Just looked it up on amazon. I need to have more of her in the house. I think that for my trip to Burning Man.

She has a great voice. She IS one of the true great voices of pop music. My favorites are Coming around Again and Nobody Does it Better.

We love her...I think of my Mom when I hear her voice/music. She liked Carly too.

She's the daughter of the "Simon" in Simon & Schuster publishing. I'm guessing that she is wadded.

Nobody Does It Better -- the lyrical sensibilities and instrumentation sound so much like her style, huh? It'd be easy to believe that she did write it. Great match for the song!

I was pleased to find the same Carly program on my flight to Denver last night. But this time, I got home and continued the Carly joy -- what a great bedtime disc.
