NEW YORK -- How would the guys from "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" make over the black-and-white makeup of Kiss? We may get to find out.

Gene Simmons, the tongue-wagging bassist of Kiss, is considering an appearance on the Bravo reality show. On his Web site, Simmons says producers have asked him to join the Fab Five for an episode.

"They called me and asked me if I would do it. I'm a fan of the show. We may shoot on the 28th of Sept.," Simmons says.


Bravo publicist Bill Brennan told The Associated Press Friday that the network has had discussions recently with the rocker.

"Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" is now in its second season, airing on Bravo at 10 p.m. (ET) on Tuesdays.

Beginning Sept. 1, Bravo will air four episodes of the British version of the show, complete with on-screen pop-ups to ensure that none of the jokes get lost in translation.

When I saw this headline I thought it was going to be about Richard Simmons.

i thought it was gonna be about richard simmons, too. i think richard and gene should have their own reality show. both of them are kind of icky in a way that's disturbing to think about them sexually. maybe they should be in a reality show version of "the odd couple". i could totally imagine richard putting on gene's face paint and gene getting it on with the "sweatin' to the oldies" gals.

Gene Simmons rocks! He has no shame and will do anything for money, and is probably the only member of Kiss who wasn't gay!! Also, his connections with Cher and jumbo lizard tongue must make him a gay icon. I immediately knew it was Gene simmons when I saw the title of this thread!!

Richard Simmons is a pop star in his own right. He's a great man in the sense he has helped a lot of people including me. I went on his plan and lost like 40 lbs. And no i did not dance to his videos, i was just on the eating program. I have his email address also and we're in constant contact, as well as the thousands of others.

But Richard should've changed his image, it's getting dated but now in days it's the only image we can recognize him by.

I immediately thought Richard Simmons also.
