God I'd love a box set by Madonna, and i'd love to have remixes of her older songs, and some unreleased material would be nice. And a dvd full of missing music videos not put on her other compilations.

IS it true she sold Maverick?
And how long till her contract ends with Wrner?

Yes,she sold Maverick back to Warners and she has no association with that label anymore. She owes Warner Bros. two more albums, but rumors suggest that she could quickly fulfill her contract by delivering a "Live" album,a remix album and/or the box set.In which case, she would then be able to leave Warners by the end of this year.Sony and several other companies are anxious to sign her. When her tour ends in the middle of next month,I'm sure some major decisions will be made/negotiated regarding her career.

pray Praying she doesn't sign with Virgin.

Madonna's smart, now in days she would probably look over a contract, ask questions and stuff. But back in the day i'm sure she took anything she could get, thus signing with Sire.

not with sony either. if she does another albums like American Life(i mean sales wise, I personally love AL) sony may not give her the promotion she deserves. didnt AL's sales worldwide around 5 millions David?

OMG that is so true.

Anyway she should sign to Jive and start the RnB thing like Justin and Britney.

Or maybe Prince will invite her to NPG records

There are so many rumors about where Madonna will sign...lol...on July 21,Cindy Adam's New York Post column reported the following...

Madonna has signed back to Sire Records?

Guess who's signed back to Sire Records? That's right ladies and gents,it's Madonna. After Sire broke ties in 1994 with Madonna and her distributor Warner Bros. to pursue the London music scene with London Records, they are back! Of course with Madonna and Mandy Moore under their belt.I guess London underground music wasn't as profitable as they'd hope.Under the new contract with Sire Records,Madonna must record two new albums and release a compilation CD.Expect word on the new contract, reportedly worth over $25 million,to be released on Billboard next month.Only in New York, kids, only in New York!

It's worth noting that,so far, there has been no mention of this in Billboard confuse

I also heard a crazy rumor that Madonna's next CD will be produced by Goldfrapp ,a U.K. electronic band, and that she also wants to work with The Black-Eyes Peas on a few tracks as well.

Hi,I just spoke with Orlando Puerta. He's Madonna's remix guy at Warners.I worked with him this weekend at the Sunset Junction Street Festival in Los Angeles. He confirmed that the DVD wll be a November release! It will be a 6-DVD set containing all the tours ("The Virgin Tour","The Who's That Girl Tour","The Blond Ambition Tour","The Girlie Show","The Drowned World Tour" and "The Re-invention Tour").

I dunno. This sounds too crazy to be true. Madonna isn't know for giving her fans their wildest CD/DVD dreams. Years later, and after several rumored release dates, I'm still waiting on that career-spanning remix disc that will never happen.

CinisterCee said:

And I'm sure y'all want to replace that "Blond Ambition Tour" you have on Laserdisc.

Hey, don't knock that laserdisc! wink I've got it, and it's the best format available to see that show. I saw that show when it first aired on HBO, and I've seen every tour since (except the current one), and it's still my favorite of hers. She sounds God-awful, but it's such a creative show. I don't think she'll ever top it.

so, to summarize:
-rumors sound kewl, won't believe any of em till the DVDs are sitting on the shelves
-Blonde Ambition, IMO is M's crowning achievement- that show NEVER gets old

I love Goldfrapp too! I saw them live in NY last year. It was an amazing show.

Musically they are sexy, slinky, electronica led by the out-of-this-world vocals of Alison Goldfrapp. Their single, "Strict Machine" topped Billboard's dance chart a few months ago. They would be a good match with Madonna--like taking her Mirwais sound to the next level. They also did a great downtempo cover of Olivia Newton-John's "Physical".

I'll be buying the box set of tours, if this is true...because I have all the concerts on vhs, except the 'Blonde Ambition' show, which I taped from HBO and havent seen since mid 90's because it got lost somewhere...

and I never owned a laser disc...so It will be real good to own all of the tours on dvd and Blonde Ambition, which is my favorite tour....oops I got drowned world on dvd...but its not my favorite concert by maddy!

um the re-invention show is what I want the most w/ Blonde Ambition...

DAMN I CAN'T WAITE!!

WE NEED A NEW MADONNA RECORD...and its gotta be hott!!!
Maybe Missy, Neptunes, Lil Kim and P-diddy will hook her up!

I don't own any of them though I have seen them. The Girlie show and Blond ambition have got to be her best. LOVE LOVE LOVE the girlie show.

I know that the last one would get on DVD, so I skipped the 300.00 price ticket. Also I am not as much into her now. Finally something to look forward to from her.
