Seeing Teena's new video reminded me of my fave Teena song, "You So Heavy". This was off of her best album to me, Emerald City, from 86. The whole album is killing. Bootsy does his best Hendrix voice on the album. But the highlight of the album is "You So Heavy" dedicated to Rick. The guitar solo by the late Stevie Ray Vaughn is classic. Stevie acts a fool towards the end when the basic track stops, and he keeps riffing, ala Jimi. She really won me over when she did this album. The album, side one, is more "black-rock" than the whole "Purple Rain" album.
