Strangest concert you've ever attended

I thought of this because I just remembered that I went and saw Pizzicato Five at First Ave. back in the early 90s. lol

It had to be one of the weirdest shows ever, with everyone dressed as American cheerleaders at one point (including the guys onstage), and the opening band was this Japanese punk rock group that were horrible. disbelief I vaguely remember people throwing drinks at them. It was a sold-out show though.

Anyone else attend any shows that made you go: whofarted ?

My parents drug me to Pat Boone as a kid. It was so bad, they got up and left after the first two songs!!

A good friend of mine thought I ought to witness GWAR at least once in my lifetime, just to be able to say "Yeah, I´ve seen them once."...It was ugly , plain ugly..a bunch of people dressed as monsters, at one point as the Pope who then got beheaded, another "song" accompanied by some weirdo slicing up a woman´s belly to pull an embryo out of it, fake blood all over the place, the "music" was just noise, the "lyrics" barely audible...all in all , a weird experience...
I heard they used to use real blood before and then had to change to using fake blood.

I have to say the "Puffy and the Family" tour or whatever it was. With Lil Kim (when she was still black and had small boobs), Biggie, Puffy, Lil Cease, Usher and Busta Rhymes. Biggie threw dollar bills out into the crowd and Usher, Busta, and Lil' Kim all stripped down to their underwear during the concert. It was strange because I felt 100 years old, and very much not a part of "pop culture" at that concert. I was probably only like 22 or 23. I left the venue saying "No more hip-hop concerts for the kid."

Culture Club's 20th anniversary gig at the Royal Albert Hall...
A fat, nasty, hoarse & off-key Boy George, turning what could
have a been a delightfully camp & light hearted concert in2
a fookin' onstage live advertistment 4 his horribly pompous
west-end play 'Taboo'...2 top it off we got 'Bow Down Mister'
as an encore...Hare Krishna, Hare bloody Rama...Oh & the
band was there 2, in case anybody wonders, they r the
worst live musicians I've ever heard.

I had so much fun lol

There was this UK band with these Indian peeps in it. Them Brimful Of Asha peeps. Too lazy to look it up.

Their music was already pretty trippy, but when the artists can not moderate when coming to Amsterdam.... you know what happens.

The singer fell asleep on stage! And forgot to sing every now and then... hmm

Weren't they called Cornershop or something like that? hmmm

lol Funny though. In fact, I've seen quite a few shows where the people were so wasted, they couldn't function fully.

H.R. from Bad Brains. I saw him at Slims in S.F. and he was so baked I don't think he even finished the set. Ditto for Desmond Dekker at Slims. lol

And of course George Clinton naturally. I mean, what can you expect?
