O.K., they've been playing the heck out of "Diary" up here in Detroit. . .the best part of the song is towards the end when her male background singer pipes in. He totally out-sings Alicia(although she tends to sing flat now and then when she sings live anyway). And then I saw the video--he's FINE on top of that . Wonder if he'll be getting a solo deal? Anybody know who he is?

Tony Toni Tone' recorded it with Alicia - I know for a fact it's not Raphael Saadiq on shared vocals (maybe background, but not shared) - Raphael was the front man that sang all the hits accept for "Whatever You Want" which had Dwayne Wiggin's (Raphael's brother) singing lead...Dwayne's voice is on the Diary track...I think that's why people are thrown off when they say Tony Toni Tone'...everyone is used to hearing Raphael's voice...as far as the video, when artist tour they normally hire background singers to sing parts that were originally recorded by other artists as the other artist have their own projects/schedules and may not have time to tour all over the country due to scheduling conflicts....Dwayne Wiggin's for instance released a solo CD amongst other projects.
