tribute to "the voice" billy mackenzie/associates

i have listened to music all my life and i have heard very few singers in that time how could compare to late great vocal talents of billy mackenzie.
...with the talanted musician, alan rankine, he had critical and commercial success as the associates in the early eighties but after the band split up, billy(who was never keen on becoming a superstar) went his own way and continued to release music in relative obscurity until his death in 1997 at the age of 39 (suicide)
...it is a shame that his wonderful vocal talents were never really discovered by the music buying public and it is one big regret of mine that i never saw him live. sad
...
...anyone interested in checking him out, i would recommend getting hold of "breakfast" and "those first impressions" both from the "perhaps" album.

Maybe the greatest male vocalist ever.
Beyond The Sun is the most heartbreaking album ever recorded in this world.
Don't rest in peace, Tayside Tannoy.
