heavy metal: the movie! Best cult movie ever? Who loves this now cult arthouse classic? Yep, i'm talking about the 1981 cartoon film based on the famous comic books!
This is apparantly a stoners movie and i can c y too as it is weird, wonderful and fantastic, but i love the movie even without a joint! Just watched it again and i forgot how good it was! I don't mind the rock soundtrack, but the score by Elmer Berstein is gorgeous! gitta find that somehow..... Anyone else love this movie? A movie that if u gave to ur mate and said "try this", he's be hooked kinda movies.....plus a movie ahead of it's time with the whole 'He man sword and sorcery' thing too..... I love this movie.....anyone heard of it? [This message was edited Mon Aug 23 16:40:53 2004 by thesexofit]

not music-related (unless you count that barnyard song at the beginning), but i'd go with "Gummo" "I don't need your forgiveness, cos I've been saved by Jesus, so fuck you."

"Gummo" was empty-headed tripe passing off as deep, existential and thoughtful cinema. Korine is the kind of director that everyone thinks is a cineast...but look just beneath the surface and you'll see that this young man is a hack. "Julien Donkey Boy" was a better film, but "Gummo" is the most overpraised piece of crap I've ever seen.

"I don't need your forgiveness, cos I've been saved by Jesus, so fuck you."
