Joan Osborn as Janice Joplin? Okay, I know this is the 50th time this has been brought up in this forum but I happened to hear "Right Hand Man" by Joan Osborn the other day & thought, "Why wasn't she in the running for this part?"  She's definitely got the voice for it  And she definitely favors Janice more than any of the others being considered (and those not being considered but still pictured here)  I hate when they do casting according to "who's hot!" vs. who's BEST

Pink is already starring in a new movie about Janis Joplin and it will be released in summer 2005.I think the soundtrack will be her next album too. | |

Joan Osborne is somebody whose music I was also interested in, but never got around to buying. I've only heard maybe about 4 songs from her, 3 of them I liked (the one she's known for ain't my cup o' java). This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes. | |
