No one mentioned 2 of my Loose End favorites:
Choose me - "if im layin in the ghetto, come and rescue me.." and Tell me What U Want - " aint psychic i cant read ur muuiiinnndd, oh baby.." with that cool ass guitar solo. Yes of course "Hangin On A String (Contemplating)" Slow Down "Stay A Little While Child" - in which Mariah did a nice version of (without the rappers of course). Straight Jacket Funk Affair
Album plays and love for vinyl records.

I LOVE this group! They were a big musical influence on me back in the day! A little-known piece of trivia: Loose Ends wrote and played on many of the tracks on Five Star's debut album.
One of my favorite tracks of theirs, "Gonna Make You Mine", has not yet been mentioned in this thread. It was a bonus track on a UK release of Zagora, and was the b-side of the "Stay A Little While Child" 12-inch.

I love Loose Ends! Listening to them right now, as a matter of fact (Slow Down). I get annoyed that Soul II Soul gets so much credit for "creating" the sound of UK soul (what they created was that damn drum beat that wouldn't go away), when Loose Ends and even groups like Five Star were doing the same thing years before.

Loose Ends is one of those classic groups that reminds us of how beautiful music is.With
arrangements that show what you can do with instruments, Jane's voice and the words. In 1992 they released "Tighten Up. Vol 1." witch is pretty much a remix album with three new tracks at that time, one of my favorites being "Don't Worry" there is also a Gang Starr remix of "A Little Spice" that shows the respect that Guru and D.J.Premier have for the music. The release comes with a 16 page booklet that talks about each piece, what the group was going through at that time and why they broke up.In 1998 Pete Rock released "Soul Survivor" where he got with both Jane and Carl to do "Take Your Time" witch in my opinion became an istant classic, it's a nice piece of candy for anyone who's been touched by their music. "Music Takes Me Higher","Time Is Ticking", "Hold Tight","Symptoms Of Love", "I Can't Wait Another Minute","You Can't Stop The Rain" and ofcourse all the other pieces that have been spoken about will remain timeless. "As grains of sand pass from hand to hand,I watch time stand still I'm just one man that's out for all,so all should b for one"~Pete Rock

"gonna make you mine" was one of my favorite all time jams by them. While I love the original group the best I did love sunny's vocals on Love Controversy (was that the name of it) and Hold Tight. To this day I am still looking for Gonna Make You Mine

Didn't they have one song called "Let's Get Back To Love"? That's the one I remember listening to as a child. NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.

Missed your name-check on that one; good lookin' out! For those who are looking for it, I was actually able to find "Gonna Make You Mine" on mp3 using one of the file-sharing protocols back in the day.
