The Eagles

Anybody like The Eagles? I admit to not being their biggest fan in the whole world, but they did have some nice songs out. I thought that I would start this thread, since it seems that a lot of people like The Eagles' music. smile
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Ive liked them at one time or another. But they seem to be one of those groups that you will FINALLY tire of for good. After hearing their songs for nearly thirty years, despite liking some of them,I'll be more than happy to not hear them again. lol

While not necessarily one of my favorite groups, they have plenty songs I'll listen to when the radio plays them. Songs like , One of these nights, Desperado, I can't tell you why, New york Minute, Those shoes, and Heartache tonight are ones I like. Yes, they're familiar hits, but I'm no different than most when it comes to liking hit songs.

I love the Eagles. They have some really good songs, some of my favorites are Hotel California, Best of my Love, New kid in town,Take it to the Limit, Desperado, One of these nights and Life in the fast lane.
I also liked the members individual albums. Someone started a thread about Don Henleys song Dirty Laundry, which is a good song. Joe Walsh also did some great songs on his own. I really like Life's Been Good and Rocky Mountain Way.

LOVE the Eagles. We had the 8-Track of the Greatest Hits and we used to play it all the time, that and Rumours by Fleetwood Mac on car trips and camping. I've seen the Eagles about 4 times live and they put on a great show.

I'm actually in the process of collecting all of their CDs,now that several titles (including 'Hotel California') have been remastered.I bought their box set several years ago,and it really made me interested in hearing the rest of their catalog. My favorite songs by them...

"I Can't Tell You Why" (1979)
"One Of These Nights" (1975)
"Best Of My Love" (1975)
"Take It To The Limit" (1975)
"Hotel California" (1976)

The Eagles will be popular forever because many of their songs are timeless classics.A song like "One Of These Nights" or "I Can't Tell You Why" absolutely KILLS the new crap being played on the radio these days.

I don't know who's playing guitar on that particular track, but it's just amazing, isn't it? I love how that song fades out.....it's so hypnotic. That song deserves a thread of it's own, lol.
