I'm wondering if their cover of "Rock Steady" is the 1974 Aretha Frankiln classic,or the 1987 Whispers song? confuse

I also wonder why this CD doesn't include their cover of the 1972 Billy Paul classic "Me and Mrs.Jones"? They've been performing this song at their shows for YEARS,and in recent interviews, they've talked about recording a studio version for a new album.

I like Hall & Oates. I don't know that I like the idea of Hall & Oates doing an album of R&B classics, specifically the above songs. They've got their work cut out for them.

It'll be interesting to see how it turns out.I know that they've been planning an album like this for years, and they are huge fans of classic R&B music (specifically Philly Soul) .With all the success that their touring mate Michael McDonald is having with his album of Motown standards,I think the time might be right for Hall and Oates to do a project like this.I'm thrilled about this CD.

Not unhappy about it. I just don't know if they can pull off most of these songs and .... the original "I Can Dream About You" was bad enough, we don't need a new one. hmph!
