I've been a Prince fan for 14 years, and I only heard 'For You' for the first time last month!

I recently filled in some holes in my listening by buying some of the records I had heard about for years but never bought.

Love--Forever Changes. This one's growing on me, but I didn't like it right away. Has a great use of many instruments and a bold diversity. Very 60's

Richard & Linda Thompson--Shoot out the Lights. I'm starting to think this is a bit overrated. I like some of it, the rest may grow on me. Made me want to listen to Fleetwood Mac.

Jeff Buckley--Grace. Again, I like some of the songs, and am not sure about the rest (the slow sensitive ones).

This is how I felt initially about almost all of my favorite records except Nirvana's Nevermind, so these records might really be great.

I found this one to be a grower for me as well, and it's now one of my very favourites. The best use of orchestration on a record ever, in my opinion.

I agree that this is very over-rated. Some of the songs are fantastic, of course (Walking on a Wire and Wall of Death are my favourites), but I think they released much better records, and several of Richard Thompson's solo records trump this one as well. I think "I Want To See the Bright Lights Tonight" is the best record they recorded as a couple.
