Aretha Franklin plans new "DUETS" album

As soon as her concert stints are done, Aretha Franklin will head back into the recording studio. She and music legend Clive Davis, chairman of BMG North America, are teaming again for her new album.

"Clive and I are working on a duets (album)," she says. "I'm also going to do three or four new cuts for that." So far, she plans to sing songs with Mariah Carey and Gloria Estefan, among others.

What's Donna up to lately. Last year she was saying that her new album would be out, she was working on it and so on and right away fans dismissed it. Looks like they were right. She still is without a label, isn't she?

I am SOOOOO glad that they(Mariah & Aunt ReRe) put their differences aside and made another duet. I sho hope its betta than her horrible duet album back in 89.

I heard that Aunt ReRe was upset becoz MC tried to wail over her in the "Chain Of Fools" pre4mance but it didn't look like that to me at.

Now, Celine Dion was VERY disrespectful during the whole encore untill Aretha let her have it and wailed her heart out till Celine went back in line and kept her mouth shut. Not only that but she even had the nerve to compare herself to Aretha when she made a press confrence after the pre4mance.

Trying to compare yourself to Aretha is a waste of folks time & str8 out FOOLISHNESS!

Your guess is as good as mine.Last year, when she was doing all those interviews to promote her book, she kept mentioning a new CD that is "coming soon".But I really doubt that we will get a new album from her.She has no record deal, and I don't think she wants to work with the major companies again.I think she has really unofficially retired.
