Disc 1 : ***

Ok i'll admit some of the songs sound like the same thing over and over again "step this..step that.." Since this one is supposed 2 be a "steppin album" (the first dic) im gonna slide on that.

He really knows his programming. His synth horns are nice and dont sound too fake. He relies heavily on synth flute and the same snares he useses on "Step In The Name Of Love" but the tracks still are catchy, fun and melodic. His vocals sounding just as fresh as when he first came out.

"Flash" - (steppin on the runway) is almost an exact copy of "Step In The name Of Love", "Love Signals" slides in so smoothly only changing a bass or synth.
"Love Street" is a heavily horn synth dominated track (sounding like a sample of a song i cant remember) using the same pattern as the mentioned. Basically u can 'step' to #1 - 5 without missin a beat.

"What If" breaks in2 a basic R. Kelly slow jam asking what his woman what if he was a magician, if he could fly, if he was a doctor he would do this / that.

"Greatest Show On Earth" is one of them ol' tryin to be a new Al Green classic jams. Syrupy and old school using orchestra and classic piano over a simple drum loop. His vocals right on point, its actually not that bad.

then BACK to the same step pattern used in #1 - 5... with "Steppin in2 Heaven"

R asks if he could make the world better with music, and questions the problems of the world on "Heaven" providing a nice jazzy club vibe over a quiet guitar lick. Borrowing some bits here & there from "Mercy Mercy Me".

and we all heard "Happy People"..... basically all the fast songs i mentioned sound just like this.
It's a fair album.....it would make a great party player.


Havent listened 2 Disc II yet so i will review that later...

I saw a blow-up advertisement of the CD cover at a Virgin Megastore. I was cracking up. Haven't heard the LP, but d*mn, if they don't play the lead single at every R&B club I go to.

I guess if I gave Loveland and Chocolate Factory a chance, I can test this new LP too.

His 1998 release, R. was more better than this.

The fact that I squirm in embarrassment and disgust even watching that shit says something. His obvious shamelessness makes it hard to watch.
