One breath away
from Mother Oceania Your nimble feet make prints in my sands you have done good for yourselves since you left my wet embrace and crawled ashore Every Boy Is a snake Is a lily Every pearl is a lynx is a girl Sweet like harmony made into flesh Oh, you dance by my side children sublime you show me continents I see the islands you count the centuries I blink my eyes Hawks and Sparrows race in my waters stingrays are floating across the sky little ones my sons and my daughters Oh, your sweat is salty I am why I am why I am why Your sweat is salty I am why I am why I am why. A song by the ocean... that's so beautiful... "your sweat is salty, I am why"... the best line of poetry of the decade so far.

I never pay out anything Bjork does, but the video seemed a rehash of the Nature Is Ancient video to me.

Oh my God, thank you for posting the link and pointing out that lyric. That part made me cry. Bjork is so beautiful. Sooooo her outfit is supposed to look like she's coming out of the ocean, like in a wave? It would have worked better with flowing sleeves. Other than that...

Thank you for the link! I've watched it once and will now try to keep myself from watching it
again until I have listened to the whole album, alone, at night, with headphones. I can't wait anymore until it is released. A new Bjork release is more nerve wrecking to me these days than a Prince release. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

Was this really sung live? Didn't look like it on the clip I saw, but lemme watch this one

I know, it's a shame they made her mime it. You could tell she wasn't used to it. Bjork usually always sings live.

She's a wonderful lyricist.
This, however, isn't one of her better songs IMHO.

I'm not into her BUT I think her voice is really interesting & that song sounded great A friend of mine has been trying to turn me on to Bjork for years, I always resisted. Maybe I'll check her out one day...
