Does anybody else here HATE that shite,rip off of Radiohead,
band called Muse ?
The ''singer'' has such an annoying,whiney,affective voice i'm getting annoyed
just thinking about it .

i've never heard 'em. i almost heard 'em at the curiosa festival, but they canceled the night we went. so perhaps i think they suck, and perhaps i don't. i dunno.

I only heard one song from Muse, and I liked it.

I think Muse is one of the best bands of this time!!!!! And his voice is amazing!!!

I'm not too familiar with their music, but they did give the best performance at one of the summer festivals i attended, so i'll give them that.

Check out the album "The Bends'' by Radiohead,listen to how Tom Yorke sings(used to be a bit whiney at that time) and compare it to earlier song of Muse.You'll see what i mean.

Muse are not a rip off of Radiohead.

Sure some of the stuff off their 1st album sounded similar but they were a young band then, we are going back many years now and both bands have evolved and are doing their own thing.

I happen to have a lot of time for both Muse & Radiohead although I can see why people might not be keen on Muse - the music can be a little 'dramatic' at times. Apart from anything else, all 3 of them are excellent musicians and they are a very good live band.

Don't let it knock years off your life... they're just a band that you don't like!

I can understand someone not liking the voice...

but this band left Radiohead standing.

Muse keep going from strength to strength, while Radiohead seem to have vanished up their own backsides.

Since I'm a big fan of Radiohead anyway, that may explain why I like this group's most recent album Absolution. Since there is a similar quality to their sound, its easy or convient to compare them to RadioH. But I think they sound like a tougher, heavier BUSH. I'm not going to run out and buy any of their previous albums, and they are'nt the saviours of R&R, but I Like this album and I don't care who knows.

Damn, man, you're being kinda harsh witht this thread here. And so I decided to be harsh too. Muse didn't sound bad to me, so I don't see why anyone should spread the hate.

Both are fantastic live bands with great songs and their music has not as much in common as everyone says. Muse are influenced by classical music and glam rock, Radiohead are influenced by almost everything else. If you have any doubt about Muse go and see them live or watch the DVD Hullaballoo. Matt Bellamy is an AMAZING pianist and guitar player.

I hate Muse too. Most songs start with a melodramatic piano intro and then this awful voice hits you like a mosquito attack.

The weird thing is I have a respect for Matt Belamy as a musician and songwriter, though I would NEVER buy an album because I find his singing to be a COMPLETE ripoff of Thom Yorke. So, not exactly hate cause he's a good musician, but I little disdain for the way he's totally aped Radiohead.

I love the new Muse album Absolution! Song 3, Time is Running Out, great song, and very catchy. Love the fuzz bass. Listen to song 11, the Small Print. This song is ROCK and sounds NOTHING like Radiohead.

Come on... if you like Radioherad or Buckley, you'll like this one to!! Maybe some people have to grow into Muse, like i did, but now i'm convinced! THEY ARE GREAT!!
