Hell yes! I love that song. woot!

Genesis is definitely a favorite.

I lean more towards the Phil Collins-era Genesis, but their work with Peter Gabriel is good as well.

I probably would have never gotten into Genesis if I'd never heard that song. The synths were always so Prince-ish to me.

That's true, there is a Prince vibe in there. I love the layering of everything in the mix-with headphones it really sets a great mood.

2 in the morning in a pitch black room with headphones-you really are taken somewhere else.

I'm mainly just thankful none of the many Linkin Park-esque bands/clones/minions of crap music have tried to remake it.

Abacab is the shit! Whats the deal with Misunderstanding sounding identical to Sly's "Hot Fun in the Summertime"? Did Phil and the gang ever acknowledge the similarities between the 2 songs?

Speaking of Peter Gabriel, I love the way he says, "Hi There!" in the beginning of his song "Big Time." For some reason, it always makes me laugh. giggle

Genesis are absolutely fantastic. Pop/rock masterpieces like Misunderstanding, Mama, Taking It All Too Hard, hell even Illegal Alien, only come around once.

Yes, I'm a Genesis fan too. I think their best album is The Trick of the Tail, but that's probably because I'm a progressive rock fan too. Both Phil and Peter have their moments and I just can't say which one is better.
