Midnight Starr

Does anybody remember this group from the 80's? They had a few songs that were fun to get out on the dance floor to shake your booty! to, including "Operator", "No Parking on the Dance Floor", and "Midas Touch" (my absolute favorite). They also had some nice slow songs like "Play Another Slow Jam" and "Searching for Love". Loved this group back in the day, they were awesome. thumbs up!
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

wave Hi I got the album. It's all about the jherri curl jams with them. Did they reeeeallly need all those people to make their songs?

Operator feeking rocks. I still play that song from time to time. Midas Touch is VERY prince like...but then so were ALL of the other R&B dance bands.

Yep -- Babyface wrote that one with a man named Sid Johnson. There were some additional lyrical ideas contributed by a couple of members of Midnight Star, which earned them songwriting credit as well.

That's basically the song that started Face's career. It led to him becoming a part of The Deele, and the rest is history.
