I'm hooked on the Pet Shop Boys. I just bought their "PopArt" video collection (which actually cost less than the album) and will be picking up the double CD later this week. I keep listening to "Miracles" on the internet and it's amazing. The best dance music artists ever becuase they aren't afraid of different styles.

The Mars Volta-de-loused in the comatorium Great album. Played it back to back twice already, and that never seems to happen with me. [This message was edited Tue Aug 17 0:09:30 2004 by subhuman09]

I got The Cure's self titled album last week, and to be honest it isn't what I was hoping for. Most of the songs aren't particularly strong or memorable.

but you know what - i dunno about you, but with me, i never like cure albums on the first listen. it always takes me a while to adjust to them, and eventually it's all i can listen to. i think this latest one is the first cure album i've really liked from the first listen, and even with the new one, there were songs i didn't really appreciate till i heard them live and now i like them all that much more.

Deee-Lite's greatest hits. I realized I have all their albums on either vinyl or cassette and nothing on cd except Sampladelic Relics.
Johnny Cash's Love, God & Murder not quite a purchase, but I got a great bundle of Laurie Anderson from a very cool guy along with the new Sonic Youth.

herbie hancock-thrust martina topley-bird-anything all cool stuff so far! I just discovered Headhunters about 2 weeks ago. Its awesome! Found it used. I feel like I owe the store more $. Also bought the same day: Caravanserai- Santana Van Hunt- Van Hunt Antibalas- Who is this America Columbia seems like the it was the place to be. Around the same time period you have Miles,Santana, Hancock all doing some progressive, spiritual things with the music with the backing of their label. spelling oops.
