If you like the Fever CD, you must buy, steal or borrow the "Live in Sydney" DVD.
Music + the visuals - Enough said !!! Also, if you think "I can't get you out of my head" is cool, try "spinning around" from Light Years. The promo vid is on the above DVD.

I'm sorry but Prince should stay away from Kylie, If his No Doubt effort is to be comparison. Kylie is one of Pops survivors like madonna. People who hate her are entitled to their opinion but they generally are over synical. kylie is about music to have fun with, not win the Mercury Music Award, although she might well do that this year!
I can't believe the latest album cover has been edited for the Americans. what is a matter with the US? All this effort to protect its children, while they walk into school with a uzi and blow each other away. I think Kylies album cover was great, :p a pointless effort when kids are killing each other and not over Cd covers how about gun laws and social exclusion?

thanks2joniandu said Where The Wild Roses Grow is the song EllisDee is referring to. Your so right! It's spooky and haunting, although the paring of Nick Cave and P.J.Harvey on the song HenryLee found Nick Cave meeting his match. "black hair, brown eyes...late September...My Beautiful Leah" thanks... it never occured to me that i never actually gave the title of the song... Mr. Ellis Dee-licious, the Official NPGigolo

Hay another interesting kylie fact. Her UK no1 single 'Spining Around' was co written by Paula Abdual! What ever happened to her. If you listen to the lyrics it make it sound as if Paula wrote the song for her own come back!

Since my last post, I have gotten Let's Get to It, Hits+, and Light Years. Also, Diva is being incredibly generous in sending me Impossible Princess, which I haven't been able to find here. Here are my impressions thusfar.
Kylie Minogue (1994) is a nice album. It kind of reminds me of Madonna's Bedtime Stories of the same year. "Confide in Me" is the definite highlight for me- eerie and haunting. I also like "Put Yourself in My Place," "Automatic Love," and "Where Has the Love Gone." Light Years is great fun. "Spinning Around," "Kookachoo" and "Light Years" are great, but "Butterfly" and "Disco Down" have to be my favorites. "Your Disco Needs You" is HILARIOUS! Can anyone say kitsch? Hits+ is my favorite. "Where the Wild Roses Grow" with Nick Cave is an interesting, spooky mix that I adore. "If You Don't Love Me" showcases an intimate side that I didn't expect from Kylie! "Stay This Way" drips of sex with the delayed vocals... My favorites are all related to Impossible Princess. "Take Me With You" is without doubt my favorite song by Kylie Minogue. It is a breathtakingly haunting tribal/trippy concoction. It isn't a Prince cover, but it blows his song of the same title out of the water. "Breathe" and "Tears" are great experimental club dubs, and "Some Kind of Bliss" and "Did It Again" show that Kylie can rock too! I'm guessing that Impossible Princess will end up my favorite Kylie album, so I'd like to thank Diva in advance for being so kind and generous!

Recently, I just got Impossible Princess thanks to an orger we all know and love...it is PHENOMENAL! I've listened to it four times already, and it is clearly her best. "Too Far" is wonderfully trippy. "Limbo" is earnestly desperate, "Jump" is eerily bold, the singles are classic, "Say Hey" reminds me of how great feminine attention can be, and "Dreams" is stunningly beautiful. Also, this album really comes together well with the title "Impossible Princess." It is at once moody and yearning, defiant and needy.
