horrible! especially timbaland on the hook. LL can't hang with the real lyricists that are out nowadays his style was better suited for the 80's.
I'm an org elitist... totally unapproachable.

Yeah, it's one of those 1 A.M. club songs. I can just hear it now. You need lots of alcohol, darkness and sweaty bodies to truly get the effect of this song.

Wow, no lie, I was just going to start a thread about LL Cool J, asking if anybody still liked him.

Haven't heard his new single, "Headsprung", but his stuff from the 80's was great. Songs like, "I'm Bad", "Mama Said Knock You Out", "I Can't Live Without My Radio", and even the tender rap song "I Need Love." I'm into the old school rap, it was the shiznit during the 80's.
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

I think we're being a little hard on LL. The guy's a hip hop legend, no question about that. He actually puts out singles that radio loves and he hasn't faded away. If you think about it, he's always been here (even throughout the '90s). He only fell off with G.O.A.T, but he's been consistent since the late '80s.

I remember "Hey Lover" with Boyz II Men getting a lot of play back in the day.
"Loungin (Remix)" with Total was the summer jam back in the mid-90s.
"Doin' It" from the Phenomenon album still gets radio and club play to this day.
"Luv U Better" was a urban hit for him.
"Paradise" was a decent hit for him at urban.
"Headsprung" is gonna be a hit, too.

True, especially now that he has an acting career, LL is not going to fade out anytime soon, methinks. smile

He's like Queen Latifah and Ice Cube, in my estimation, one of the ubiquitous, multitalented rap stars. Ice T would be in this company, but he doesn't really bring the heat with the songs anymore.

I agree with you. We are a little hard on my boy LL. I am a LL fan from wayback. However, I fill that his latest single sucks and is not one of his best.

I'll pass on the new single...it may or may not grow on me...I like his older stuff better and as far as the more current, I love "Luv U Better" off of his last release "10" featuring Marc Dorsey.

This is for my number one...smile

"Doin' It" was from Mr. Smith, not Phenomenon. I love that song, and I also love the "Loungin'" remix and "Hey Lover". biggrin

I like the song...it's got a little edge to it, almost like a punk/rap song.
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

He had the bridge (primarily right above the tip) thinned out. Thankfully, he didn't fuck with the general shape of it. Not bad, although it does make his nostrils flare more.
