I'm still looking for that one. I don't think there's any embarrasment in owning that one. It's musics equivalent of cult-movies It was not in vain...it was in Minneapolis!

It's musics equivalent of cult-movies I had the cd from the guys (or guy) who did that song "How Bizarre" I don't remember the name. I didn't buy it. Now listen up kids, I'm gonna tell you how it was back before this new fangled internet and kazaa days. Back then we stole our music by ordering in those 12 cds from bmg or columbia house for a penny under an alias and just not responding to the bill. That's the way it was back then. Anyway the sad part id I can't find the cd but wouldnt mind giving it another listen.

Hurricane G. "All Woman" HOLA records 1997
Hurricane Gloria the original 1st female of the Def Squad.... don't know if ya'll are familiar with this woman....in the 90's she did many cameo's with Redman,Keith Murray,Xzibit,Ras Kass,P.Diddy, also numerous mixtapes...also baby mama of Erik Sermon of the Def Squad/EPMD fame...well the Bilingual Boriqua Mami shined on all of her cameos and mixtape appearances, especially when she ripped it in spanish....which led me to the anticipation of her debut album which was released in 97 on the now defunct HOLA imprint(ran by Jellybean Benitez),she just didn't bring it the way she did on the underground tip...I will say this her Rosie Perez-esque ghetto mami voice just stirs the hetro-curious man in me...LOL,but as much as the album genuinely sucked it still remains a guilty pleasure of mine..... I am not African. Africa is in me, but I cannot return.
I am not taína. Taíno is in me, but there is no way back. I am not european. Europe lives in me, but I have no home there. I am new. History made me. My first language was spanglish. And I am

"I Surrender" and "Video Villain" were good songs as well! Sadly, I don't remember the one track that Izak liked...I gotta go back and dig up that vinyl and have a listen. My one 'worst record' was probably Apollonia's solo CD. In my defense, I found it in a cut-out bin for about 99 cents, if I recall correctly. On top of that, I actually found a few tracks on it that I really like -- enough, in fact, that I still play that CD every so often!

Seriously though. I didn't. I had completely forgotten about that pairing until the Zep thread made me look up Jimmy's discography. And once I saw that album I did remember hearing a song from it (by way of video) that I actually liked. This post not for the wimp contingent. All whiny wusses avert your eyes.

I had not really followed Page's career post The Firm, so I was totally unaware. I just recently found things online about it, and of course the pics as well. Here's a quote from Plant on THAT whole deal..... "Well, I think he's a fucking idiot. Horses for courses: I've worked with Phil Johnstone - nobody's perfect." - Robert Plant, on David Coverdale, in the December 1994 issue of Mojo. And here's some about Jimmy's Outrider tour.... "Maybe someone should just tell Robert to keep his mouth shut." - Jimmy Page, angry about Plant's frequent comments him and Zeppelin during the "Outrider" tour. "Robert took a lot of swipes at me as well. When I came to the U.S. to do publicity for the "Outrider" album, all I heard was `Robert said this,' and `Robert said that.' It was really bothersome." - Jimmy Page, Guitar World , May 1993. "I saw a woman with major Hammer pants on the subway a few weeks ago and totally thought of you." - sextonseven

I've heard (and maybe you know more about this than I do) that one of them said something like, "If we asked Jonesy back, it would be like trying to re-create Led Zeppelin again. There's no way that could ever happen without Bonzo...." or something like that. "I saw a woman with major Hammer pants on the subway a few weeks ago and totally thought of you." - sextonseven
