I hate to say it, but I think it might jam. Britney can surprise you sometimes. I'd love to see her in a video with a Jam&Lewis trenchcoat and hat on doin' some new jack dance steps. With some guys behind her on stage with synths strapped on their shoulders! ThAT WOULD BE HOTTTT! haha

What, the Me Against The Music video wasn't close enough to Janet for you? disbelief

Silly silly Britney, always remaking things to cover up the fact that she doesn't have any worthwhile new material.

BTW, anyone heard the remake of INXS' "Need You Tonight" by some awful europop group/singer? Utter trash barf.

Hey, I say if you're gonna copy at least pay homage. Britney should throw on a looped earring with a key dangling from it and get a tight black T-shirt and tie it in a flower knot to show her stomach. Get that Janet pride going! lol

I really like Britney but her attempts at any kind of R&B ("Outrageous" anyone?) and I can already hear this song in my head and I have an idea this might be the most embrassing moment in her career. If she truly wants to call it quits, she will be going out on the bottom. I'm very surprised that they haven't released "Breathe On Me" as a single yet. Britney is good at dance music and should try to explore that further.

They should close her album with that song. I think they're doing "Outrageous" because she already put out two electronic/dance-oriented tracks MATM and Toxic, so they want to get the "urban single" in (a la Christina's Can't Hold Us Down).

hrmph The whole "hey everybody, I'm all grown up/stop tellin' me what to do" vibe has been done to death. We all know that she's grown and makes her own decisions. Her fleet of cars and giant cribs are evidence of that lol.
Time for some new inspiration. I'd love to see what would happen if she went to school for music theory and learned to play an instrument or two.
In all honesty, I think she has a unique voice.

I got a feeling it's gonna sound like "Overprotected"...the lyrics are too similiar. "Overprotected" is probably the only song by her that I like.

Don't you hate it when artists take an old song from back in the day, remake it, turns into a big hit and then all these new people are loving it when they don't know sh*t about the original? I hate going to a party when they play an old track like Talk Talk's "It's My Life," people don't dance to it except the real musicheads. Then when No Doubt made it, everybody starts screaming and running to the dance floor. Same thing happened around the time of 2001's Lady Marmalade. Pink & 'em remade it and it's this big hit, but play Labelle's version a year earlier and nobody will give it props. I remember somebody calling Patrice Rushen's "Forget Me Nots" the "Men In Black Song" (saying they like Will's better).

It's cool to remake a song and get that older artist's work out in the public again, but then it also sucks at the same time.

It'll be hard to remake a classic like this.....when this came out, it sounded fresh, in ur face and was just damn funky.....plus it was a fuck u to Bobby's former bandmates new edition (I expect bobby wrote the lyrics and Gene griffen wrote the tune as they r both on songwriting credits)

Erm.....could be alright, proberly won't get a release as a single anyway.....Britney has not the voice 4 Bobby's swaggering party track..Bobby sounded street/cool..Britneys voice is sheer crap (on ballads anyway) but could be ok if done differently!

"Yo Justin, kick it like this!"

But on other thoughts, I can c how this could work lyrically.....in some ways this track shoulda been 4 michale in his heyday.....u know all the media complaining etc so i can c y it seems a good choice 4 her.....

I like Britney. I like some of Bobby Brown's songs from that era. I couldn't care less if she does remake it. In retrospect, I think it's a terrible song, and if she wants to do an uninspired remake of an uninspired song...be my guest. I know it's one of his most popular, but I don't need to hear his version or any other again.

Now if she wanted to remake Every Little Step, then I'd throw a fit. wink
