Boogie Down Productions -- should have been included on my list

The Real Roxanne, Salt-N-Pepa -- old school icons, but to me Lyte is the best female MC

Brand Nubian -- one of my favorite acts and one of the most frustrating. they'd preach chastity to women on one track and then the next track talk about all the girls they were catchin'.

Lost Boyz -- notable '90's outfit. wasn't it freaky tah that got killed?

Oops, I forgot about MC Lyte. Rah Digga is up there, too. I just love her delivery.

Brand Nubian are contradictory, but what hip hop act isn't at times?

Lost Boyz -- Freaky Tah was murdered in 1999. His murder has not been brought to justice.
