anyone who says this tour is a flop is either sleepwalking or in heavy denial. they also have obviously not seen the tour, which was the best live show i've ever seen!

I totally agree.Man,I can't wait for the DVD.The rumored release date is December 14 but now i'm hearing that it might not be released until January 11,2005.

I never understood why people said it was a flop. It was the best concert I've been to, but i've never got a chance to see Madonna live before.
When she started the show and started quoting "The Beast within" and that video started playing, the suspense started building then when it ended and the lights on the stage went on and it started playing the opening of "Vogue" and everyone flew out of their seats- not 1 person was sitting- i will never forget that.

She sure is.It's supposed to premiere at the Cannes Film festival in spring 2005.If it gets a good reception, expect to see it in a limited number of theatres.

I think the tour could have been much more succesful not based on those shows, which all sold out but the fact that she could have played a lot more venues. It's a damn shame she skipped Detriot this time round.

OMG she skipped her own home? WHat was she thinking? And the irony is the "Drowned World Tour" that was on HBO was filmed from Detroit

I am so happy to hear this! Madonna is awesome, my respect for her has grown over time.
I used to think of her what people think about britney. Her and Prince are more than just Musicians or Artist, they transend all of that. They are Icons and legends in their own time. They have connected so deeply with so many people its staggering. They are in a genre all their own, these numbers reflect and verify that. What new artist out in the last ten years could pull this off? NONE! [This message was edited Thu Aug 12 11:10:06 2004 by Littlewing]

Yeah, there are some recordings out there. There are good video bootlegs, especially of the NYC shows since Madison Square Garden security was very relaxed at all of those shows. You can find some of them on file-sharing services like Winmx, Kazaa, Emule, BitTorrent, etc. A fan recorded excellent quality (for a bootleg) and complete audio recordings of the shows in L.A., Worcester Massachusetts, and Atlanta. You can download the whole Atlanta show from this forum -LINK- in this thread "RIT Atlanta HQ mp3s" -LINK-, but you have to be registered and logged in there to access the tour section of the forum. The download links in the first few pages of that thread are probably all dead by now, but I re-posted download links for all of the Atlanta mp3s (in order) on page 7 of that thread. If any of the links are dead check back the next day to see if the links have been updated. I'll keep updating till that thread falls off the page. U're kidding me....$300 for Madonna tickets?
If Prince, only slightly better musician, charged that much for a concert ticket...there would be some cryin' up in here. "U get the audience you deserve" ~ PRINCE Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

that show was sold almost out everywhere. i'm sure, like every single other sold concert, on the night of the show a few tickets were released. this happens because press tickets are available, guest seats become available, etc. i know one of the philly shows wasn't sold out and one of the chicago shows wasn't sold out. as far as i understand, the rest were all sold out. why is it such a big deal to you? if you don't like her, you don't like her...there's no sense in arguing something you're wrong about.

A Madonna tour in the U.S. tour grosses $79 million in only three months, and you say she should "retire"? [This message was edited Fri Aug 13 7:20:30 2004 by DavidEye]

Erm, yes they were. ALL 39 shows in the U.S. were sold out. That's a fact from Billboard Boxscore, not fiction from an obsessed Madonna fan. If you want to dispute that then take it up with Billboard Boxscore who confirmed those figures. Nobody can say if the shows for Europe are sold out till they actually take place and the box office receipts are counted. And since they release 100s of production seats the week of the show that they sell right up to the night of the show. A lot of people fom here were able to score extra tickets (often quite excellent) to Prince concerts with extra seats released by the venues at the last minute. There was a big demand for them but considering Madonna toured less than 3 years ago, the huge prices they are asking for just isn't worth it.
