Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz are to marry, after the pop superstar proposed.

The Justified singer, 23, asked Diaz, 31, to become his bride after first asking for her parents' blessing.

And honourable Timberlake even checked if it was the right thing to do with his own mother.

But, wary of the media frenzy that surrounded Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's cancelled wedding last year, the couple have opted for a quiet, private ceremony.

An insider says, "It (the wedding) will be more like that of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin - nice and discreet.

"Cameron is absolutely thrilled about the engagement. They are both very much in love."

uh oh...britney's gonna lose her shit...

They'll be divorced before the end of '05.

I just saw Cameron on Oprah stating that she did not believe in marriage....what a wimp she's marrying....anyone that would brag about the "malfunction" on one day stating that he loves to give the people something to talk about (smiling and happy as can be) and then the heat kicks in and he switches his story and puts the blame solely on the other party is a b*#$%..screw Justin...as far as the paparazzi invading their special day, give me a break, Ben and Jennifer were an obsession for the news media...Justin and Cameron's relationship doesn't even compare...
