but some folks also had the guts to do those retro style covers in much more recent times... and, come to think of it... well... actually.. I do like some of them... maybe.... ehmmmmm... what a nostalgic looney I am wink

Vanglorious... this is protected by the red, the black, and the green. With a key... sissy!

The '50s/'60s era.

Damn man, you ain't lying about James' covers. I think the one that always irritated me the most was Think with the baby on the cover falloff

I'd like to hear the explanation from the genius that greenlit that one. biggrin

Flame-off Johnny Torch. lol
I never said they were bad, just not great.
To me the best Miles covers, much like JB, always feature him in action.
The other option, because he has such a great face, is an informal head shot.

You know what. I went back and browsed more thoroughly through his '70s non-Columbia releases and did find a couple that were worse.

These are the type of Miles covers I dig because of the photos.

The Live-Evil/Bitches Brew period and beyond artwork is cool.
It looks like the creature on the Live-Evil cover I posted could have been the template for the Jabba the Hut character.

Flame On. wink
