Earth Wind and Fire's new CD 'Elevated' due on October 5---and that's not all Earth Wind and Fire has just finished their new CD and it is titled 'Elevated'.The release date is September 28.Also,their summer tour with Chicago is such a huge success that Clear Channel wants to add at least 20 more dates, extending the tour into late fall. There's also talk of repeating this tour next summer and both bands are interested. As if that's not enough, the NFL wants Earth Wind and Fire and Chicago to perform during the Super bowl XXXIX entertainment show.

As if that wasn't enough, the following CDs are being remastered as we speak...
Last Days And Time (1972) Head To The Sky (1973) Faces (1980)---may include previously unreleased bonus track "Feels So Right" Raise (1981) Powerlight (1982) Electric Universe (1983) The rumored release date for these CDs is September 1,but so far, there doesn't seem to be a confirmed date.I'm sure it will come out sometime before the end of the year.

Please, God, make sure Verdine doesn't have a "wardrobe malfunction."

Oddly enough,my favorite song on 'Last Days and Time' is the one track that neither Philip Bailey or Maurice White sings lead on...the track "I'd Rather Have You",which features the female vocalist (I think her name is Jessica Cleeves?).

That CD is perfect...they updated their sound a little, but it still sounds like classic EW&F,you know?

But also note than none of their "current" sounding albums (starting with "Electric universe") matched the success of their classic chart toppers.
