i'maslave4u : not only did she steal the groove, but...

ok, Britney & the Neptunes stole "nasty girl"'s groove, this ain't news. But what really makes me crazy is that they used it 4 a song called "i'm a slave 4 u" !
I mean, "i'm a nasty girl" was kind of a feminist message, clearly sayin' that a guy better b worth Vanity's time.
"I'm a slave 4 u" on the contrary says that this girl will do whatever a MF wants !

Feminism DIED on MTV !

Damn !

That's right, it's been a long time,
Since I had a man that did it real good.
If you ain't scared, take it out,
I'll do it like a real-live nasty girl should.

Yeah, MTV killed feminism.

why would it make you mad, though? "boy, it really sucks that Prince has influenced this generation of producers and singers"

i've always thought this sort of reaction from Prince fans was bizarre. i guess that Prince influencing a new generation of musicians is only good in theory. because every time he does, about 2/3 of the people say "THAT SUCKS"

It has to be Ready For The World - meaning well in the past - to be tolerable.

I'd consider, however I do prefer the fanny-pack-and-spandex look of lipsyncing "pump up the jam" video model Felly

what ya'll don't get is that if these artists who's music is being "stolen" is getting credit..they are getting paid...that's why you don't hear a lot of complaining.
