Artists who should've NEVER made a comeback... Hanson...I don't understand why they ever came back, they weren't good when they came out with that stupid Oooom Bop and they're not good now.
I could probably think of more, but when I saw their album for $9.99 in Target, I had to laugh.

I am by no means a Hanson fan, and I don't own any of their albums, but one night I happened to stumble on one of their concerts on cable, and I am embarrassed to say that those 3 are very talented, they pkayed their instruments very well and sing very well also. As far as a comeback, I don't think they ever went away, only their teen fans did. Give them some credit, they never sold out to pop again to sell records.

Let the kids play their songs, somebody likes it. At least they play real instruments. They could be a boy band w/ a backup track, silly outfits & dancing around
The only people who shouldn't come back are those who annoy me Hanson doesn't, I forgot they're even around...

John Travolta. though "artist" would be stretching it, even if you included acting.
and..... any bets on how long it'll take some smartass to say Prince? "I don't need your forgiveness, cos I've been saved by Jesus, so fuck you."

I can't understand why Johnny Gill made a "comeback" with New Edition. As a solo artist I've always felt he coulda been a contenda, right up there with Luther, perhaps, or Teddy. What happened?

Bobby brown.....check his "Forever" cd in 1997! remember most artists mentioned on this thread will be people who most thought did not even try to come back.....anyway bobby tried and this is the dullest album ever.....I love Bobby brown and he was great on the NE reunion but this stunk real high!
Good point about Johnny gill though.remember "the floor" video back in 93? hat vid was kickin'!

I could probably think of more, but when I saw their album for $9.99 in Target, I had to laugh. I wouldn't consider it a comeback. Did anyone buy their latest cd? I don't begrudge anyone a chance at fame and fortune, but some should know when to throw in the towel. Wilson Phillips has a new album out. I'm waiting for Robbie Neville (sp) and Richard Marx to rear their big haired heads any day now. "She made me glad to be a man"

I definitely feel you on that. But, Johnny was such a better fit with New Edition than Bobby Brown. I couldn't see New Edition without him.

Joey McIntyre from the New Kids on the Block.
His "comeback" was really pathetic...but the little airplay that his "hit" single had on the radio was WAY more than it deserved. By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

Larry Graham
1) He killed the Sly Stone cataloque 2) He is pretending that he was the songwriter from Sly Stone, but didn't wrote nothing. 3)He didn't made any progress since the 70's. 4) His last albums sucks, even Britney's album is better 5) He is not a frontman. In other words, he sucks.

Jorden knight, the lead singer of New kids on the block, made a comeback around the same time I think! To be honest with u, I really like "Give it to u" by Jorden knight! Written with Jimmy jam and Terry Lewis, this track to me was like an updated version of Johnny gills classic "Rub u the right way".....both johnny's vid and jordens were cool too!
