I know there are a few Johnny Cash fans on the site, and for those of you who loved the JC "God/Love/Murder" CDs that came out a few years back (and I highly recommend these discs to folks new to JC who want an inexpensive intro to his classics - each disc is a best-of compilation based on a different theme...gospel songs, love songs, and murder ballads) and now there's a fourth disc in the series.

i think it's been out a little while, but i just got it today - it's called "life" and the songs were chosen by cash himself before he died, and there's one new song on the disc called "i can't go that way". the theme of this one is "life lessons", and the songs are supposed to reflect how the man in black lived his life and the mistakes he made on the way. oughtta be deep.

anyone heard this one yet? anyone liking it? i'm sure i'll love it...

planning to get it along with Love, God, Murder. ready to branch out from the 4 American albums and Unearthed. love the old stuff. just don't own any of it.

definitly a good way to get into his enormeous back catalogue. just bought 'san quentin' last week...very dark but defenilty a keeper 2.
