Admit It : MOR /Easy Listening tunes you find yourself humming to

biggrin After reading lovedad43's thread about Guilty Pleasures , I started wondering about Easy Listening/Soft Pop songs specifically - everybody says they hate 'em, yet everyone seems to have at least a few that they find themselves singing along to...anybody got some MOR tunes that ya can't help liking? biggrin

The reason why we do that, whether you want to admit it or not, is because you CAN.
Why? Because no matter how lame you think the tunes are, they have a MELODY!

Can someone hum or write out the melody for In Da Club?

Good one, as usual, Sir Gap priest

UptownDeb

I don't know how "MOR" this is, but right now I'm listening to Scott Joplin's "Super Hits". (I'm just waiting for someone to start a ragtime thread! razz ) Lately, his "Maple Leaf Rag" has been on heavy rotation in my mind. It's like I'm hearing it all over the place! It's even my sister's cellphone ring tone! eek I found this online radio station that plays ragtime, but since I bought the Joplin comp I've been listening to it instead. If I ever learn to play piano, "Maple Leaf Rag" is the first tune I want to learn!

Maybe folks are afraid of a dip in their hip quotient. cool
But we both know... "What Is Hip?"

These Dreams - Heart
Too Much Heaven - Bee Gees
Joanna - Kool & the Gang
Easy - The Commodores
I Can't Tell You Why - The Eagles
Song Sung Blue - Neil Diamond
Love Will Keep Us Together - Captain & Tennille
Honesty - Billy Joel
Go Your Own Way - Fleetwood Mac

This is just a sampling of what I hear during MOR-Tuesday on Muzak at work.

I NEVER get tired of these types of songs! Soft-rock/easy listening tunes are superb...these songs have real melodies and chord changes. When you hear these songs, you can't help but hum all day long, because the music stays in your head for awhile.
