I don't care what people say about him, I love that man. I think he is so talented...which is a dangerous thing to say on a Prince fan site since, him and Prince on "rivals" (who decided that I'll never know...) But I've been a Michael Jackson fan for almost 13 years. And I've been a Prince fan for....3months (hey, better late than never, right?)

Well, I'm new 'round here and was just wondering if I was the only MJ fan. Probably am. Or at least the only one who'll admit it. I like singers who are outside the box and are strirring it up. But I don't think it's fair for Prince fans or MJ fans to insult the other artist.

Can a Prince fan really talk trash about Michael Jackson when their idol struts around in high heels and sang about masturbation and incest and has a split personality, one of those being named Jamie Starr and wore thongs and chap-pants and meterosexual? And Can a MJ fan talk trash about Prince when their idol is nearly translucent he's so pale and dnagles his baby and spends most of his time with kids and shares his BEDROOM with them and is on trial for molesting a kid?

...sure ya can! It's a free country. But in all respects, Prince fans have no right to talk about MJ and MJ fans have no right to talk about Prince.


I guess my point is that they're both weird, but in a very good way.

Jeeeees - so sick of people comparing MJ to other artists. Sure he was great and is a music legend but the reason many people have turned (including myself) is the fact that Michael's weirdness is possibly illegal and harmful to people around him. P is not facing a court trial.

I love both Prince and Michael Jackson. When they do things I don't like, I talk about them both. Just so happens that Michael does MORE things I don't like.

and why is that MJ "WAS" great? ok invincible is not as good as his previous work but that doesnt mean he lost his talent as a singer or songwriter. I personally think Musicology is not as good as early P albums but does it mean he lost his talent?

You and I have had all this out before LightOfArt. Michael is being tried for something that is illegal. Hence the threat that he may go to jail. His "weirdness", in my opinion (she hastilly adds) is more harmful than good.

As for his musical career - we've discussed that at length too. I thought MJ was magic when I was a kid. I still have all his early albums but on top of my distaste for his current situation and the way he chooses to live his life - I find that his recent material just doesn't cut it.
