Since when does a person's size have anything to do with their ability to sing? Don't you know that some of the premiere opera singers have not been the most svelte individuals? And what the hell does Monica having tattoos do with anything? Last I checked, so did Britney and Christina? yeah britney, christina, and brandy got tattoos, but it would read my 2 cents correctly, i was talking about how monica's tattoos outweigh all the others tattoos in which if ya'll wondering why she ain't on mtv cribs showing off her crib, then her spending money on all those damn tattoos is probably why!!!!! I think the reason that Brandy and Monica aren't Christina and Britney is becuase they take more time (for better or worse) to make their albums while Brit and Chris release stuff at a more steady pace of about an album a year. I think Monica's career was also kind of hurt by the fact that she had one album nearly scrapped, although that didn't seem to hurt Usher. I think if Brandy and Monica worked at a faster pace (well, their record companies, producers and writers) in the beginging of their careers and had gimicks like Brit and Chirstina, they would still be on top. | |

We also have to remember that Brandy and Monica were more wrapped up in their personal lives than their recording careers. Brandy had a baby during the Full Moon era and that kept her out of the spotlight for some time -- not to mention her make-believe marriage and all the drama involving that. During, and after, "The Boy Is Mine" album, Monica was in a tumultuous relationship with No Limit's C-Murder which ended sourly and she adopted the daughter of her first ex-boyfriend who was tragically killed a year ago. These events took a toll on their respective careers and helped to dim their spotlights. | |
