A Jacksons Challenge: "Push Me Away" or "Time waits For No One"?

"Push Me Away" is from my all-time favorite Jacksons lp (DESTINY), but I think "Time waits For No One" has the better melody.

hmmm

music Maybe I'll just listen to them both all night long and give you my response 2morrow.

Time Waits For No One

That song is just amazing. It could have been a top ten hit. If "She's Out Of My Life" which came out earlier in the year is a top ten hit, this is. I love this song.

Lonely, in my darkened room, sad and weary, persevering for love... oh love....
Sad and weary... persevering
In the hopes that she is thinking
To come back to me
Is it possible she's thinking of me at all...
Have I gone too far...

If only, I had shown her love
She'd be with me
Deep inside me in love
Oh love
She'd be with me
Deep inside me...

In the hope that she'd be thinking
To come back to me
And I'm scared that someone's sleeping
By her side
I can't hide
All the pain
Deep inside
Is this love?

Time Waits For No One...
Time Waits For No One...

That was just from off the top of my head... what a beautiful song... this one from the Triumph album.

The harmonies in this tune... Mmmm, mmm, mmm. nod

Anyway... that's my choice.

I think Time Waits For No-one has the better climax and has more of an effect on me overall, but Push Me Away is just simply LOVELY. There's not a single bad song on Destiny. Actually I can't think of any that I really dislike on Triumph, although the production is sloppier.

Bless His Soul remains my favourite song from Destiny.

Time waits for no one has always been one of my favourite Jacksons songs.... Indeed this climax is great!
Push me away is too sweet IMO...
the beautiful ones, you always seem to loose

I don't remember "Push Me Away", but one of the guys I used to sing with hipped me to "Time Waits For No One" about 5 or 6 years ago. Loved it. thumbs up!

It's close- I love Clare Fischer's strings on "Push Me Away", ...but I think Time Waits For No One" gets the edge...killer ballad. It's a shame Randy's so messed up , because I really like his songwriting- I liked his solo album, particularly the ballads...BTW, Janet says Randy's the one who turned her onto Joni Mitchell

Time Waits For No One.

It's a no-brainer really. This is the only song Michael ever sang, that actually sounded like real emotion put into it. Pretty much anything before his career was tainted (after Bad!) is pretty cool.

I love 'em both but Time Waits For No One. It's three minutes of bliss on a killer album.

Time waits for No One is an excellent track. Michael sounds so excellent on that track, his voice was flawless. You are gonna make me play the Triumph CD when I get home, LOL.

U got Randy and the gypsies album....I love that, industrial sounding funky stuff if i remember.....Randy also wrote the killer ballad "One more chance", which coulda been huge!
Sounds great on swingbeat shocker "She" off "2300 jackson street" album, possibally one of the most underated swing songs ever.....

"Time waits.." to me is far better then "Push me away"....I always like "Destiny" (the song) 4 some reason.....corny but i love tito's guitar lick on the outro, it kills me!

"walk right now", "Time waits 4 knowone" "One more chance" "wait" "She".....all these jackson songs r hidden gems in my book.....yet none were done live neither, woulda love to of seen "wait" live.....in fact the whole "Victory" concert tour had no songs from that album.....even the song "Victory" isn't on "Victory"...u get it?

I love that album, Randy and the Gypsys. I juust got it earlier this year from ebay.

I love the songs "Prepertrators" "Luv Thang" "Love You Honey" "The Love We Almost Have" "I Can't Wait" "I Need You" "Not Because Of Me".

Also, has anyone heard his first single "How Can I Be Sure". I heard it on a website called J5-collector. It is great. The B Side "Love Song For Kids" has the first recorded apperance of Janet.

Also Marlons "Don't Go" was a great song. Number 2 in 87.
