Valley of the Dolls?

Pop beauty Janet Jackson is reportedly in talks to star in the remake of camp classic Valley Of The Dolls, which singer Christina Aguilera turned down a role in the movie.

Dirrty singer Aguilera recently rejected an opportunity to star in a revamped version of the 1967 film because she's currently working on her next album.

But now sources close to Jackson say she's in talks with director Betty Thomas to appear in the movie herself.

The original film, about three women whose lives are affected by showbusiness, starred Patty Duke and Sharon Tate.



I haven't read or seen Valley of the Dolls, but I went to check out the novel reviews, and it seems great, so I'll have to read it before I form an opinion.

'Valley Of The Dolls' is not the camp classic that it's made out to be.

There's a novelty value in seeing a mid-60s movie with late 50s production values where everybody's saying "Faggot", "Bitch", "Ass-hole" and popping pills - but that's about it.

Yet more movie gossip. I've seen the original, it needs to stay in the past. No need re-vamping it. Janet shouldn't do this project.

if rupaul doesn't play one of the main characters, i'll be very disappointed.

Seriously! Valley of the Dolls is indeed a great camp classic! Remake in general is a bad idea. Remake with Janet is a horrible idea. She can be good as an actress, but no need at all for her to be a part of this terrible idea.
