Don't forget about all the pop lockers. I remember on Soul Train, they would clear the stage and feature some of the pop lockers. They would glide from side to side and even back glide.....which Michael Jackson picked up MUCH later and called it the Moonwalk.

We used to have a local black dance TV show in my area that would put Soul Train to SHAME. Remember Soul Train would show reruns in the summer and this local show never showed reruns. Back in those days, styles were constantly changing. A song was out of style in a matter of months. All the musical artists put out a new album EVERY year. A lot of the ladies on Soul Train were trying to pose and look pretty. These girls on this local show could get down and dirty. It was all about fun in those days.

Don't forget big Rerun from "What's Happening". That boy was bad. That big MF could turn it out!
Andy is a four letter word.
