That's good that Madonna won all those awards. She's been around for what...almost 20 years now, so she should have something. Really, the only awards that I count as meaning anything when it comes to music as apposed to just popularity votes is the Grammys and "Best Soundtrack" and "Best Song in a Motion Picture" at the Oscars. The VMAs is a popularity contest, which is obvious considering that they let fans vote...hence the Viewer's Choice Award. After listening to the garbage that's being voted number one on the radio and Billboard charts now, it's pretty obvious that the voters don't have a fucking clue 90% of the time. Damn Sheeple! Last time I checked, the Grammys and the Oscars didn't have the Viewers Choice category  . AMAs are based off of the amount of albums sold and popularity that an artist has. If it's an award that has to do with being the flavor of the month as apposed to what your album contains, then it's basically like winning "Most Popular" in high school. "Sooner or Later" is still my favorite song from Madonna, but she didn't write it, so I have a hard time giving her credit for that Oscar. Plus, Razzies aren't exactly a compliment, so I don't think Mrs. Ritchie would appreciate those being listed as "awards" in the same area as her Grammys. I rest my case! Exactly. Damn "Flavor of the Month" awards. All an entertainer has to do nowadays is put out a good video....and by "good" in nowadays standards means how much tits and ass can you display without being censored or banned from MTV. Many people don't care if the song makes sense or has any lyrical depth anymore....shit, look at "Baby Boy", okay beat with garbage lyrics that my 8 year old cousin could have written.
