LOL! I remember that group. You are wild, Christopher!

I thought I was the only one.

On a side note: When I see this thread, I think of Ludacris' lines: "Hoes is yo friends, hoes is yo enemies!"

lol "You doin' Ho activities, wit Ho tendencies. Hos is ya friends and Hos is ya enemies." Man, I love Luda. Ahh, thanks JanFan, because now you got that song stuck in my head.

Personally, I think "ho" behavior is killing music as well as "thug" behavior. Personally, I like "whore" behavior. There's a difference in a "whore" and a "ho". A "whore" is a 'nasty' woman, so to speak. I "ho" is a nasty CHEAP woman.

I'm from the old school and I love the sexy "whore" look. I remember Donna Summer dressing like a prostitute and standing on a corner in several hooker scenes for her "Bad Girls" album. LaBelle doing a hooker song called "Lady Marmalade". Vanity 6 and Apollonia 6 dressing in sexy lingere. Madame X singing "Just That Time of Girl". Cheri singing "Working Girl". Madonna flaunting her sexuality all over the place.

What's the difference in those women and the women of today? The MUSIC was good. I don't give a damn if they couldn't sing a note as long as they had good strong MUSIC behind them. These "ho's" today are just like their music.....CHEAP!

clapping Preach! There are soo many hos in the business now it's disgusting.

yeah there are 3 artists who I feel lost the integrity of there music in the midst of this Hoe buisness.....

1.Janet Jackson....now she sings about the same ol tired shit.
2.Mariah Carey....great vocalist, good song writer...she just lost her marbles after the nervous breakdown...hopefully we can get some more pre 97 Mariah again...
3.Toni Braxton....probably the most disapointing to me...her debut was so classy, sensual, beautiful voice....WTF????happened uuuuugggghhhhh!!!!!

I have to agree that Toni is the most disappointing one. You can add Beyonce and Jessica Simpson to this list. Sure, they haven't been around as long as these women, but I've seen them change from being dressed and saying things like, "I would never dress provocatively because it's against what I believe in", to showing tits and ass on pretty much all their latest videos and TV appearances. I'm especially sick of Beyonce's ass after she made that ridiculous comment about how she "doesn't walk around half-naked, because she's a Christian and too sophisticated for that stuff". So, WTF was "Baby Boy" supposed to be? rolleyes Idiot.

I think it's killing music for the younger generation. These poor souls think that what they see on MTV/BET is good music, when in fact 80% of it is shitty pop trash. Too bad they don't have groups like the Beatles or great singers like Marvin Gaye or Al Green to watch. Instead they have crap like Justin Timberlake, Britney, Janet, Christina, 50-Cent etc. Most women in videos today are too thin, wear too much make-up, have fake tits, fake hair and can barely sing, but the young people lap it up and think it's great! disbelief

Long live real musicians!!!

HELLO! Prince is a HO! He had his butt on the VMAs.

Ho behavior isn't relegated to just females.

Oh yeah AND HOW COULD WE FORGET ABOUT VANITY 6 APOLLONIA 6?! Wearing friggin' lingerie on their album covers. Come on children.

If we're gonna talk about hoes, at least be equitable.

What about "My sugar walls"?

Hoe activities didn't start with Madonna, didn't reach it's lowest point with Trina or Lil Kim. It's always been around.

Do we just simply have a problem with the current generation or are we being naïve?
Prince was definately out there back in the day, but he has the music and the skills to back that nastiness up. Plus, there are those of us that didn't dig nasty Prince. The VMA thing was a huge turnoff for me. I guess it was less shocking with P because very few people were doing it, now everybody's doing it.

I wonder how he feels about some of the Beatles songs: even Sir Paul admits that when they had ideas for songs they'd say, "This will get me a swimming pool", etc.

I think what's interesting about Prince's brush with hoe-dom was that he was a male doing it. You rarely see males exposing their body parts. Yet, there was no uproar whatsover. No one made a fuss. Even when Marilyn Mason did it (yuck) people were like rolleyes. Men have more agency when it comes to hoeing, I guess.

This one is not really a tune but...
Flyguy's (Antonio Vargas) recitation at the Pimp Of The Year event
from "I'm Gonna Git You Sucka":

The name of this piece is called, My bitch better have my money,
she'd better have my money.

Through rain, sleet, or snow, ("brother's a shakespeare" lol ),
my ho better have my money.

Not half, not some, but all my cash.

Because if she don't, imma put my foot dead in her ass.
