I think Cher is something else

I love Cher personally. I know she's not a great singer, and she's not really a musician but her concert was colorful, and quite fun. And i don't care about her plastic surgery, she is beautiful. I love her songs, and her new electronic voice. Go Cher!

LMAO! I used that picture for the cover of a collection of her best 80's songs that I called "Faux Metal Babe". Cher rocks!

I think her singing and acting is brilliant, but I haven't liked any of her songs from the last 10 years or so, and she seems to have sung live in the past decade about as often as Jennifer Lopez, even though we know she can do it.

Not a great fan of her. She's a bit too aggressive and I've caught her making hypocritical statements a few times that pissed me off.

Plus, she looked like Pete Burns from Dead Or Alive when she was in that awful movie Stuck On You. "I'm a FUCKING OSCAR WINNER"

I think I heard that one and liked it a little, but that's 8 years. Nearly off the mark wink I really detested Believe and all the singles since then - even before it was a hit so it wasn't due to overplay. The success of that just left me utterly perplexed.

When I was young, my mom used to buy Rona Barrett's "Hollywood" and "Gossip" (guess you could compare them with "The Star" and the "Enquirer" today). I would always look to see if Cher was featured, and she usually was. smile

And all those years I thought she was this tragic mulatto...um..."half breed".... I really thought she was part Native American! (I wonder if Native American's thought this?) She's half Armenian, I think.

I'm also a Cher fan and I would suggest you try to pick up the Euro import of that album. Not only are there better verisons of most of the songs on the album, but it has really good bonus tracks. Unfornately, I can't find my tape copy but sooner or later will buy the CD.

I don't think she's a bad singer. There's a lot of power and control there, but what she lacks is range. Still, she doesn't overreach or oversell the songs. (much)

Yes, the Euro one is the way to go. Probably her best album. The American one is crap by comparison.

I've loved Cher all the way back to the Sonny and Cher show. I loved her rock in the 1980s and I am so glad when she made her comeback in the 1990s she did it with house music instead of hip hop.

I like Cher.I remember buying her "Believe" CD in 1999 and falling in love with it.It was an unexpected surprise. Then,I bought the follow-up "Living Proof" and it was even better.I seem to prefer her techno-styled/dance music,as opposed to the rock/pop stuff that she used to do in the 70s and 80s.

Indeed. Though I do like her as a musical performer (particularly her 70s period), she's a stunning actress. One of the best in the past 20 years or so. I wish she would do more film.

Loved "Suspect" and "Come Back To the Five and Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean" and "Witches of Eastwick" was OK. Too bad she isn't cracking out the movies like she used to.
