I was just gonna mention that now that I thought about the movie. I like that version of "When Doves Cry", but it is, by no means, the original.  But, when I first heard it, I had a hard time comparing it to the original. This one doesn't have the infamous guitar riff in the beginning....in fact, did they even have much guitar in this one? I absolutely love that track! When I first heard it in the movie I thought it was sooo perfect. Prince music in church... it doesn't get much better than that. My first thought was "That's the kind of church I would go to!" I think it's cool because it reinvents the song. Best cover of a Prince song, imo. | |
