Lloyd Banks - Hunger 4 More

***

With all the hyp over the 50 Cent / G Unit madness just like how Master P's No limit was in 1997, and then Cash Money in 1998 and THEN Murder Inc in 2000 rolleyes now comes the new "fad" in Hip-hop music.

Lloyd Banks spits his verses very monotone and takes time to really try and get in2 what he is saying because his tone...despite that his flows are nice....but if they were spit a little more loud they would be better.

I thought the album was overly hyped. The beats are very...casual for hip-hop. They dont sound like there was that much thought put in2 them... especailly "Aint No Click" featuring a tired dated chorus chant..."we gettin doh everywhere we go (now).." rolleyes
A reptetive beat on "Playboy" doesnt help and the chorus again..."poppin bottles till they all gone/keep your mouth closed we dont let beef ride"
"Warrior pt. 1" is another one, i like the verses i guess but the chorus is bad.

But the album does have some nice touches like Timbalands "Im So Fly" (i think it's by Timbaland) "Im eatin in Rome and you eating Ramen noodles". The beat is crucial, and Lloys carries on the beat nicely. "On Fire" is a club topper, "Warrior pt. II" is a much needed improvement feat. Eminem...saying nothing (who's lines aint been alll that these days).

Overall the album is listenable....
