Des'ree's "Kissing You" I'm not even vaguely familiar with the rest of her work other than "You Gotta Be". But this song levels me every time. I forget about it a lot cuz I don't own anything by her. Does anyone know this one? It's in the movie "Romeo & Juliet". I think part of the emotion behind it comes from the scene it's in. It's that amazing part where Claire Danes and Leo are finding eachother at that ecstasy costume party looking through the fish tank. Surreal! If you don't know this song, check it out.

I have this movie and sountrack. I love that song. Really pretty. Those are the only two songs I think Ive heard too, by her. She had a cool voice though, I wonder where she is? Did you order a pizza ma'am? Prince- UTCM

she also did a cover of Burce Springsteen's "Fire" as a duet with Babyface in the later 90's for some movie. "I don't need your forgiveness, cos I've been saved by Jesus, so fuck you."

I love "Kissing You." It's a great love-making song. Des'ree also was TTD's duet partner on "Delicate," which is one of my all time favorite songs.

Absolutely adore this song, brings me near tears every single time I hear it. Something about the quality of her voice & the way she sustains the notes... I dunno, I just dig it way too much...

Same here. I just put it on a mix disc and it sits very nicely between "Silver Tongue" and "Simple" by kd lang.

I love that scene. I had her first 2 cds, but sold them to a used store. I just couldn't get totally into them. But I did make an mp3 copy of "You Gotta Be" and I have the Romeo and Juliet soundtracks.

I love this song and "Gotta Be". The Romeo and Juliet albums were pretty good. What did ya'll think about the remake of "When Doves Cry" on the other disk? SPREAD LOVE UNTIL THE SUN'S FINAL RISE--The Duality a.k.a. "WYNTER SKYE"

I was just gonna mention that now that I thought about the movie. I like that version of "When Doves Cry", but it is, by no means, the original.
