TESTIFYYYYY Groovy tune. I Am The Walrus & Strawberry Fields Forever are my faves from that record. (Lennon rules, McCartney drools ) Correction edit: Looks like that was a colab. I thought Ringo penned it. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...rmusic.htm [This message was edited Sun Jul 25 16:26:21 2004 by theAudience] "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. I think that's the Beatles only instrumental. Am I right? NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.

MY favorite Beatles album, and I listened to it today! I totally know what u mean about "Flying". Ringo's drum kit is especially funky here.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT.... MMT is probably one of my favorites. My father used to take me driving when I was little...and pop this 8 track in. And at the end of "FLYING"..we would (in really deep voices) sing.. LA LA LA LU LU LAAAAA
Good memories.... [This message was edited Mon Jul 26 1:47:35 2004 by FiveFootNine]

Great piece, great record! actually, Magical Mystery Tour is my second favorite Beatles album (after Abbey Road) " I've got six things on my mind --you're no longer one of them." - Paddy McAloon, Prefab Sprout

One of their best psychedelic cuts. It (almost) works as a long intro to "Blue Jay Way". "...all you need ...is justa touch...of mojo hand....."

That whole first of that album is something out of the ordinary.. beautiful masterpiece..
George starts showing major contributions at this point.. Blue Jay Way is just about the most accomplished song on the album

12 Bar Original from 1966 was released on Anthology 2. Cry For A Shadow from the early 60's Hamburg sessions.

Sorry guys but I got to dump on "Flying". Never was a big fan of Magical Mystery Tour or the Beatles' psychedelic music. I much prefer Rubber Soul, Revolver, The Beatles and Abbey Road. I do like "Baby You're A Rich Man".

In addition to the above tracks "The End" is almost an instrumental (barring the "in the end the love you make is equal to the love you make" bit. there's a lot of jamming on that one.) If I'm not mistaken wasn't the original version of "Flying" over ten minutes long, 12 maybe? I haven't heard it but I believe it is circulating, unofficially, of course.

Within You Without You is one of his masterpieces no doubt.. but Blue Jay Way has studio mastery.. its just a gem that goes unoticed to easily.. he was exteremly experimental at this stage.. i love it
