Ok, here we go again. I realize that I am cheating here though because I listed more than one album by the same artist many times. I can't pick just one!

(in no order really)

Prince - 1999, Purple Rain, and Sign 'O' the Times
Depeche Mode - Violator
Funkadelic - Maggot Brain and Standing on the Verge of Getting it On
Otis Redding - Otis Blue and Pain In My Heart
Led Zeppelin - EVERYTHING from Led Zeppelin I to Physical Grafitti
The Cure - Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me and The Head on the Door
Jimi Hendrix - Are You Experienced and The Cry of Love
The Beatles - White Album, Abbey Road, and Revolver
Blur - Parklife
Metallica - Kill 'em All and Master of Puppets
Me'Shell N'degeocello - Peace Beyond Passion
The Dead Kennedys - Bedtime for Democracy
Fishbone - Truth and Soul
Bad Brains - Rock for Light
The Descendents - Enjoy, Milo Goes to College, and ALL
The Rolling Stones - Sticky Fingers and Let it Bleed
The Smiths - The Queen is Dead, Meat is Murder, and Louder Than Bombs
Bjork - Debut
Al Green - Call Me
Radiohead - OK Computer and The Bends
Toots and the Maytals - Funky Kingston and Monkey Man/From the Roots
The Circle Jerks - Group Sex

I'm sure there are more, but that's my list for today.

I just compiled a whole damn list of my favorites and it took so long that when I went to post it, it had logged me off the org! Therefore, all my info was lost!!!!!

Grrrr...I feel your pain there. That is why, before I hit POST RESPONSE, I select the entire text of my message and copy it to the clipboard, JUST IN CASE!

Very good suggestion indeed. thumbs up!
I've taken it a step further with longer detailed posts by doing it in a text program first,
(incl. styles, image tags, etc) then posting it.

I'm not a purist - some of my favourite albums are compilations. I'm also not a muso so I don't know if my choices are musically shit or whatever, but all these albums remind me of memorable times in my life. I won't add any Prince either.

Not in any order...

Blondie - Parallell Lines
Madonna - Bedtime Stories
Madonna - Music
Big Brother and The Holding Company
The Beatles - The Beatles
Belle & Sebastian - If You're Feeling Sinister
doves - Lost Souls
doves - The Last Broadcast
doves - Lost Sides
k.d. lang - Ingenue
k.d. lang - All You Can Eat
k.d. lang - Drag
Rod Stewart - Every Picture Tells A Story
Queen - Greatest Hits
Patsy Cline - The Best Of
Dionne Warwick - Sings The Bacharach & David Songbook
Barbra Steisand - Guilty

That's not even 20, but they're the first lot that immediately spring to mind.
