The Paths You Take....

I am such a happy bunny...erm hamster....

Ever since I got my computer four weeks ago I have been downloading new music and copying my old music onto my hard discs/drives/whatever-you-call-'m.

Pleasure one is that I now have this mega jukebox, which results in me listening to music that would otherwise be shelved and forgotten. It's lovely.

But the most fun is being able to connect with friends....
And that is pleasure number two; Rick saying I gotta get the new Beastie Boys, Nathan hipping me to The Cure and Roxy Music, my sister remembering the Police had a great box set out, etc, etc.

Right now I am listening to the songs of Roxy Music (Dance Away extended remix) and I am just loving it.

I can't wait to connect with other people to help me remember more good music.....

I'm not being critical with this comment I am just wondering. Don't you feel as if you are stealing when you download new music? I RARELY download music but when I do I get this little feeling inside that I am stealing.

With no search engine it would take too much time but I have found reasons are typically just justifications. "I have been paying my money for years while they have been ripping off the artist" or "I have to buy a whole cd for one song". etc. At the end of the day it all comes down to not paying anymore.

I'm not trying to sound super negative and I'm certainly not calling you out, but it's obviously an issue in this day and age.

soulseek is the best....and i know this sounds old but i still dont think anything beats napster to the day! well, besides the fact that now you can share all kinds of files. but music wise it had everything you wanted!

You know I'm all about Avril these days. I dumped XTINA's flat ass years ago.

But neither one has anything on Christina Milian. Nothing gets me off like the "Dip It Low" video lately. wink

I love it when she busts out the leather hot pants and sparkles.

And the part where she's doing that performance art, rolling around in the black ink. So fucking hot!

for me just technology changed, but that's about it. back in the days I used to tape tons of songs from the radio, literally thousands... but the records I wanted to have at home, I bought of course. Collected over 3 maybe 4 thousand records up to this day... I don't think the music industry or the artists lost a lot of money from me... I'm not that much into the current music, so I buy much less these days. And I don' tape anymore. But an occasional download might be happening I admit. Still I buy the CD in the shop when I like what I hear on that download.

I plead "not guilty" biggrin
Vanglorious... this is protected by the red, the black, and the green. With a key... sissy!
